Two permits have been issued by the city that allow a developer to build a pair of single-family residences in the 4000 block of North Albany Avenue in Irving Park. North Albany LLC, registered in Deerfield, IL, received a permit for 4017 North Albany on April 3, and one for 4015 North Albany on April 10. Both applications were filed on March 6 of this year, and both show a reported cost of $650,000.
New renderings have been revealed for the residential development planned at 1333 N Kingsbury Street in the Near North Side. Located just west of the intersection with N Halsted Street, we first covered the proposal’s announcement this past January as it began its journey toward approval. Now, the development team—ZSD Corp and Structured Development—has provided an update.
A vintage two-story frame residence in Edgewater is being torn down and replaced with a four-story, 12-unit development. Real estate records show the 1905-built home at 5428 North Winthrop Avenue sold early this year for $1.110 million.
Permission has been granted by the City of Chicago to rebuild a Shell gas station at the corner of 71st and Halsted Streets in the Englewood neighborhood. The permit has an application date of May 11, 2024, and it was issued 334 days later on April 10, 2025. It indicates a reported cost of $560,000. While the physical address of the station is 7100 South Halsted, the permit uses the address of 7112 South Halsted.
Plans have been unveiled for the potential redevelopment of 1550 N Milwaukee Avenue in Wicker Park. Located near the six-corner intersection of N Damen Avenue and W North Avenue, the project will preserve the two existing buildings, which most recently housed Lubinski Furniture on the ground floor with artist studios above.
