Caisson work is complete, and foundation work is underway, at 1880 North Milwaukee Avenue in Bucktown. Peerless Development is erecting a five-story, 44-unit residential building here that was approved by the Chicago Zoning Board of Appeals back in January of last year.
The City of Chicago on January 31 issued a demolition permit for a multi-unit residential building at 3711 North Oakley Avenue in North Center. Located on the east side of the street and directly across from CPS’s Alexander Graham Bell School, the structure will be replaced by a single-family home to be built on spec.
New plans have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 925 W Belmont Avenue in Lake View. Sitting just a few feet away from the CTA Red Line Belmont station, a much larger version of the project was initially revealed last year by Mavrek Development. Both the original and current design were led by local firm Eckenhoff Saunders.

At 2700 North Pine Grove Avenue, Ogden Partners is mixing the new into the old, constructing a six-story building within three salvaged façade walls of the 1901-built Beaux-Arts church.
The City of Chicago issued a permit on January 31 to construct a three-story with basement, three-unit building at 4827 South St. Lawrence Avenue in Grand Boulevard. The permit shows an application date of May 20, 2024, and names Jacob Da Builder as the developer and general contractor, with an estimated construction cost of just over $1 million.
