A new permit was issued for 941 North Winchester Avenue in the East Village area of West Town on August 25, allowing for the construction of a three-flat residential building. Concorp Remodeling Inc of Glenview is the recipient of the permit as both the developer and general contractor. It came through with a reported cost of $750,000 after a 49-day wait from its July 7 application date.
Partial funding has been granted for the upcoming hotel at 11030 South Doty Avenue in Pullman. Located near East 111th Street, just east of the Pullman National Historic Park, the hotel will join a variety of restaurants and other commercial developments in the area. It will operate under the Hampton Inn brand by Hilton.
A two-story, two-unit building has been permitted for construction at 653 North Spaulding Avenue in Humboldt Park. The subject parcel lies just south of the intersection of Spaulding and Huron Street. It has been vacant for more than a decade after the city ordered the emergency demolition of a vintage two-story greystone in June 2014.
Funding has been partially raised for the upcoming Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park on the South Side. Announced just over a year ago, the massive park will be anchored by California-based PsiQuantum. The company has now raised $1 billion to help kick off construction of its Chicago facility, which is being developed by Related Midwest and CRG.
A permit has been issued by the City of Chicago to construct a new daycare facility at 2824 North Elston Avenue in Avondale. Children’s Land, which operates 11 suburban locations and one in Chicago, filed to build in January of this year, with the permit coming through on September 9. It includes a reported cost of $1.9 million.
