Construction permits have been issued for the foundation and ground-breaking of 1730 S Wabash Avenue, a new 12-story building in South Loop. The permit, which was submitted on June 28, 2022, was approved on December 21, 2023, after a 541-day review process.
Facade work is nearing completion at the 225 North Elizabeth Street project in Fulton Market, a collaboration between Sterling Bay and Ascentris. This 28-story mixed-use building, situated at the corner of Fulton and Elizabeth Streets, ranks seventh in the construction countdown and has reached its maximum height of 314 feet.
The Chicago City Council has approved the rezoning for mixed-use redevelopment of 167 N Racine Avenue in the West Loop. Sitting mid-block between W Randolph Street and W Lake Street, the project will add two floors to the existing structures with added residential. The proposal is being led by Marduk Management with SPACE Architects + Planners working on the design.
