A new construction permit has been issued for a 3-story, 6-unit residential building at 2147 West Adams Street in Near West Side. The permit, which was applied for on April 24 and issued on June 7, allows for the construction of a building which will include a basement, rooftop deck, rooftop stair enclosure, and a detached 4-car garage with its own rooftop deck.
The permit was issued under the Self-Certification program, meaning it was reviewed and approved by a licensed architect, in this case John Hanna. The property owner is listed as Sustainabuild LLC.
The reported cost of the project is $1,695,405. Permit fees total $13,602.60, including $7,718.60 in building permit fees, $1,500 in zoning fees, and $4,384 in other fees.
When complete, 2147 West Adams Street will be located a short walk from the Illinois Medical District CTA Station, which services the Blue Line.
