The Navy Pier Marina opened over Father’s Day Weekend on the north side of the pier. There remains work to be done on the containerized amenities building, but boats have begun using the marina as a stopping point on their excursions through Chicago’s waterways.
Major funding has been secured for the mixed-use development at 626 S Wabash Avenue in the South Loop. Located mid-block between E. Harrison Street and E. Balbo Drive, the project has undergone various design changes and recently broke ground. The development is being led by DAC Developments and Melrose Ascension.
The wait is over at 370 North Morgan in the Fulton Market District, as general contractor Skender has begun drilling caissons for a new residential tower. Stalworth Underground is on hand with their rigs, fulfilling the permit issued on May 23.
The Chicago Fire FC have revealed additional renderings and details of their upcoming stadium within The 78. Located between West 13th and 14th Streets, the stadium is set to finally anchor the long-stalled megadevelopment. The project is being led by the team in partnership with The 78’s developer, Related Midwest, with architecture firm Gensler responsible for the design.
A prefabricated modular single-family residence was been permitted for construction on June 9th for 3537 West Flournoy Street in East Garfield Park. Inherent L3C is the recipient of the permit and Leigh Heusdens of Nine 4 Nine Design is named as architect of record. The permit comes with a reported construction cost of $380,000.
