Further renderings and details have been revealed for the upcoming mixed-use development at 214 North Morgan Street in Fulton Market. Sitting mid-block between Lake and Fulton Streets, the current high-rise proposal was revealed a month ago by developers Parq Development and Luxury Living. There has been no groundbreaking yet, but soil is turning for the new residential building at 227 West Chicago Avenue in River North. Site prep is underway for the ten-story building that scored both its caisson and full permits in September. Add to that the construction loan developer Noah Properties secured earlier this month, and now the site is active.
The Chicago City Council has approved a mixed-use development at 1215 West Belmont Avenue in Lakeview. Located near the intersection with North Racine Avenue, the project was originally announced this summer as a replacement for the now-vacant Stage 773 theater that occupies the site. The effort is being led by JAB Real Estate.
A permit to begin work on a new residential building at 1441 West Diversey Parkway in Lincoln Park was issued by the city on September 29. It allows developer Magnolia Assets LLC to erect a three-story plus basement, three-unit building they had applied to build just one month prior. The permit shows a reported cost of $900,450.
Construction has begun on a new commercial plaza at 2812–2850 West 26th Street in Little Village. Located at the intersection with South Francisco Avenue and across the street from the Cook County Department of Corrections, the project will replace a vacant lot and a surface parking area.
