New Permits Issued for 1049 N Lawler Avenue in Austin

A permit was approved last week for a new two-story residential building at 1049 N Lawler Avenue in the Austin neighborhood. The owner of the permit is listed as GT Alternatives LLC, and the current plans indicate this project will produce two units. This will be a masonry build with a front staircase and accompanying wooden decks for both levels at the rear. The permit also specifies a detached two-car garage along with one outdoor parking spot will be included in the build. The lot is currently vacant.

Plan Commission Approves Mixed-Use Development At 360 N Green Street In Fulton Market

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 360 N Green Street in Fulton Market. Replacing a vacant lot just east of the recently announced Guinness Brewhouse, the Sterling Bay-led project is being designed by Gensler and has gone through a series of revisions, most recently this past February. The approval is the second tower moving forward this month in the area with the residential-heavy 1353 W Fulton Street also getting the green light.

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved plans for the mixed-use development at 1353 W Fulton Street in Fulton Market. Located on the corner with N Ada Street, the new high rise replaces an existing industrial building on the quickly-growing corridor that has seen numerous high-profile proposals including a 600-foot-tall tower in the last few months. Developer Shapack Partners has been working with SOM on the design of the structure, which has undergone a handful of updates since we originally covered its announcement late last year.
