Three-Flats Permitted To Bookend Landmarked Elizabeth Peabody School In Noble Square

A pair of permits issued by the city on January 13 will allow for the construction of six new residential units flanking a Chicago Landmark on West Augusta Boulevard in Noble Square. Svigos Development of Buffalo Grove, who got permission to convert the Elizabeth Peabody School in February 2020, is the recipient of the two new permits. Both were applied for on June 3 of last year, and each shows a reported cost of $1,118,250.

Located across the street from Eckhart Park, the subject parcel is a vacant lot sandwiched between vintage three-story and four-story buildings. An application was filed for the build on April 30, and it came through on August 28 with a reported cost of $1.2 million.
