Foundation Work Is Underway For 5114 South Kenwood In Hyde Park

Foundation construction is underway for a new residential development at 5114 South Kenwood Avenue in Hyde Park. Known as 5114 Kenwood, it is a four-story with basement condominium project from developer ZSD Corp. They’re building 10 units at the site, located just south of the intersection of Kenwood Avenue and Hyde Park Boulevard. ZSD is also performing their own general contractor duties on the building.

West End Woman’s Club at 37 South Ashland Avenue being converted to residences

An office-to-residential conversion is in progress on a historic building on the Near West Side. The former West End Woman’s Club at 37 South Ashland Avenue, built in 1904 and the home of the United Electrical Workers union from 1948 until last year, is being renovated into apartments by ZSD Corp. They received a permit from the City of Chicago on May 15 to renovate the building and add an addition above the existing structure.

Construction on The Residences of St. Boniface reaches the second floor in Noble Square

The Residences of St. Boniface, Phase 2 of the St. Boniface Church redevelopment project, has reached the second level in Noble Square, West Town. Located at 1340 W Chestnut Street and immediately east of St. Boniface Church, the new four-story elevator building was issued a New Construction permit for 20 condo units and a 26-space garage on October 23, 2023. A basement is also part of the plan, under a foundation permit issued August 25 of last year.

Residential conversion of St. Boniface Church continues in Noble Square

The conversion of St. Boniface Church to a residential development continues at 1356 W Chestnut Street in Noble Square, West Town. ZSD Corp is the developer and general contractor responsible for resurrecting the church and transforming it into new homes as part of a two-phase redevelopment. The church is Phase 1. Phase 2, located immediately east of the church is also underway, under the moniker The Residences at St. Boniface.
