The Residences of St. Boniface, Phase 2 of the St. Boniface Church redevelopment project, has reached the second level in Noble Square, West Town. Located at 1340 W Chestnut Street and immediately east of St. Boniface Church, the new four-story elevator building was issued a New Construction permit for 20 condo units and a 25-space garage on October 23, 2023. A basement is also part of the plan, under a foundation permit issued August 25 of last year.
Just as they are for Phase 1 church renovation next door, ZSD Corp is the developer and general contractor for The Residences at St. Boniface. The design team is led by Mark Sullivan at SGW Architecture & Design. They’ve created three- and four-bedroom condominiums overlooking Eckhart Park that are already at 35 percent spoken for, per the project website.
Residents of these condos will live about a half mile from the CTA Blue Line station at Chicago Avenue. Bus service is available by walking across Eckhart Park to bus stops for Route 66, and walking four blocks southwest to stops for Routes 9 and 9 Express.

Such a huge fan of this project. I know it could be denser, but I kind of like having a lower pocket of density next to the Church with these apartments.
