Updated details have been revealed for the new Ryan Field at 1505 Central Street in Evanston. The new stadium for Northwestern University is replacing the now demolished facility of the same name which the Wildcats called home for nearly 100-years. While the team plays at a temporary lakefront stadium, the university is proceeding with construction.
A townhome development named Madison Park Row is currently under construction on abutting lots in Hyde Park. ZSD Corp, which is also developing condominiums less than half a block away, is building seven townhomes, each including one garage space, on East Hyde Park Boulevard and East Madison Park, on two parcels that back up to each other on parallel streets.
The Chicago Bears are potentially in talks to reconsider the former Michael Reese Hospital Site in Bronzeville for their future stadium plans. Currently the 49-acre property sits vacant as it awaits to be redeveloped into the Bronzeville Lakefront Megadevelopment, but plans have struggled to get going.
Construction of a private social club at 205 West Superior Street in River North has been permitted to begin construction by the City of Chicago. Issued on November 13, the permit allows for a five-story structure to include a restaurant, a spa, and an unspecified number of hotel gusts rooms.
Two new construction permits were recently issued for neighboring properties located at 4629 and 4623 South Michigan Avenue in Bronzeville. Both buildings, when complete, will stand three stories tall and feature three dwelling units.
