Additional renderings have been revealed for the residential redevelopment of 208 S LaSalle Street in The Loop. Located on the intersection with W Adams Street, the project is part of the larger LaSalle Street Reimagine initiative which recently received approval. Dubbed The LaSalle Residences, the project is being led by developer The Prime Group.
The Robert R. McCormick Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center has topped out on concrete, and now awaits its second phase of construction. This three-story, 85,000-square-foot facility at 6623 S Martin Luther King Jr. Drive is bringing a multi-use community center to the Woodlawn neighborhood.
The City of Chicago has issued a standard plan review permit for the construction of a new three-story, three-dwelling unit building at 2471 North Clybourn Avenue in Lincoln Park. The permit, which was applied for on December 22, 2023, and issued on June 26, 2024, also includes the construction of a new one-story masonry garage with a steel porch in the rear.
An official opening has been held for the city’s newest POP! space at 3618 W Chicago Avenue in West Humboldt Park. Located just west of the intersection with N Central Park Avenue, the pocket space replaces a vacant lot mid-block. The project was a continuation of the city’s POP program and was led in part by the West Humboldt Park Development Council.
The first new home on the site created by demolition of the former Cenacle Retreat and Conference Center in Lincoln Park has begun construction. The City of Chicago issued a permit on December 4, 2023 to build a three-story single family residence at 2338 N Cleveland Avenue.
