Remaining facade work is approaching completion for the new two-story amenity clubhouse at Prairie Shores, a five-building apartment complex in Bronzeville. Co-developers Golub & Company and Farpoint Development had purchased the complex in 2019 for $180 million, having partnered with Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group. This acquisition kicked off a string of renovations throughout the property, including interior renovations of the 1,675 residences, landscaping improvements, and common area upgrades.

A permit was issued earlier this month for the new construction of a four-story mixed-use building at 2915 W Belmont Avenue in the Avondale neighborhood. The owner of the permits is listed as Noonan Properties LLC, and the current plans indicate this project will yield six dwelling units and two retail spots. The second, third, and fourth floors will also feature front balconies. There will be a roof deck with six parking spaces. The build will replace a vacant lot.

The project went in front of the Committee on Design earlier this month where the designers presented their concept to a panel of local architects. The new structure will replace an empty lot and three-masonry clad industrial buildings on the corner with N Avers Avenue. Developer 548 Development was present on the meeting along with designers Lamar Johnson Collaborative, both of which have had previous experience in affordable housing and Invest South/West proposals.
