A new permit was issued last week for the construction of a three-story residential construction located at 1938 W Belmont Avenue in the North Center neighborhood. The permit’s owners have been listed as Sustainabuild LLC and plans indicate there will be three total units and a basement. The building will have a roof deck and rear decks on all levels, as well as a detached three-vehicle garage.
John C Hanna is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have been disclosed at this time, however, a masonry exterior is anticipated.
Bus service for CTA Route 77 can be found at the Belmont & Wolcott stop via a two-minute walk east. The nearest CTA L Brown Line can be found at the Paulina station via a 13-minute walk northeast. There is a very active restaurant and shopping scene near the future building.
4 Star Builders Inc will act as the general contractor for the $1.16 million construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
