Four demolition permits issued by the City of Chicago on September 22 will clear space for a single-family home permitted back in August. A duplex multi-unit residence spanning 2145 to 2149 West Bradley Place in North Center, as well as the two-unit homes on both sides of it at 2143 and 2151 West Bradley, will be razed by Builder Luxury, with the demo permits citing a reported cost of $20,000 for each one of them.
Five new construction permits were issued by the City of Chicago on August 22 to begin foundation work for 35 townhomes comprising the RiverWard development in North Center. The five permits are all assigned to addresses on Oakdale Avenue, and all show application dates of April 8, 2025. ZSD Corp is both the developer and general contractor.
A demolition permit was issued on August 21 to tear down a frame single-family residence at 4239 North Western Avenue in North Center. Brophy Excavation is the designated demo contractor, at a reported cost of $13,620. The site lies mid-block between Cullom and Berteau Avenues.
A branch of Wells Fargo Bank has been permitted for construction near the six-way intersection of Clybourn, Western, and Belmont Avenues in North Center. Assigned to the address of 3162 North Clybourn, the permit was issued by the city on August 21, nine months after its application date of November 25, 2024. It comes with a reported cost of $2.7 million.
Demolition is nearly complete on the former Lawrence Canvas business at 3664 North Lincoln Avenue in North Center. That clears the way for construction of a new five-story, 16-unit residential project from Centrum Realty & Development.
