Belfield, a residential development at 3924 North Lincoln Avenue in North Center, is nearing completion and welcomed its first residents in June. Longford Construction began work on the project in fall 2023, with designs created by Space Architects + Planners. The five-story, wedge-shaped building has 68 rental apartments featuring two-bedroom and three-bedroom floor plans.

There are commercial spaces at street level, as well as a 28-space parking garage accessed from the alley connected to Damen Avenue and Byron Street. Box planters have been installed on balcony railings along Lincoln Avenue, just as depicted in the development renderings. Fifth-floor units feature open terraces. Belfield has its own website now, where you can see renderings of the interior and see floor plans.

Tenants at Belfield reside within a one-block walk of the Route 50 Damen and Route 80 Irving Park buses. The Irving Park Brown Line elevated train platform is about a three-block walk to the east at Irving Park Road and Ravenswood Avenue.

Nice infill and great brickwork.
Jeez, when Chicago will learn how to burry power lines. 2025. It’s ridiculous 🤦🏻♂️
I mean they’re buried almost everywhere in the city outside of alleyways, that’s what makes the ones along Damen stick out so much. Chicago is very rare in having most power lines buried most places…almost every other city in the US that isn’t a new suburb hasn’t buried much at all.
Yeah, they were right there with all kinds of digging equipment and I assume the sidewalk was already dug up. How much more would it have cost to bury some conduit and run some cable. Also it look like it would have been easier for the brick workers not having power cable next to them on the Damen facade.
You have no concept of the cost of burying these power lines. It’s silliness to think just because you have a backhoe handy you can just – voila! – dug a trench and bury a high voltage power line. For starters, how about the rest of the utilities that already exist on that site? Sewer, gas, water, cable.
Fits seamlessly on the street! Very nice
This looks great and doesn’t stick out like a new building. Love how it blends in with the rest of the area. Nice brickwork and details.
