A two-flat residence has been permitted by the City of Chicago for the property at 6411 South Champlain Avenue in Woodlawn. The entity of Silver Landex JV LLC applied to build on September 24 of last year, and their permission was granted on February 4 with a reported cost of $450,000.

An application was filed by Greenline Homes on October 21 of 2024, with permission ultimately granted on January 28, a duration of 464 days.
Plans have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 6501 South Cottage Grove Avenue in Woodlawn. Located at the intersection with East 65th Street and steps away from the CTA Cottage Grove Green Line station, the proposal would replace a small existing commercial plaza and its parking lot.
Renderings have been revealed for the upcoming first phase of Woodlawn Central, located at roughly 6320 South Dorchester Avenue. While the project was originally proposed four years ago, the development team unveiled the current plans for phase one earlier this month as they prepare to move forward. Said team is being led by the Apostolic Church of God, which owns the sites.
