Initial Tax Increment Financing (TIF) approval has been granted by the Community Development Commission for a new mixed-use development at 757 and 838 W 79th Street in Auburn Gresham. Of the two sites, one is located on the intersection with S Green Street, and the other with S Halsted Street, both will be seeing new construction from the Invest South/West initiative winning project. Development team Evergreen Imagine, made up of Imagine Group and Evergreen Redevelopment, is working with local architecture firms Ross Barney Architects and Nia Architects on the revised proposal.
Updated details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 4000 W North Avenue in Humboldt Park. Dubbed Team Pioneros, the Invest South/West-winning project was presented to the Committee on Design this past week as it begins its journey towards groundbreaking. Park Row Development is working with a 100 percent Latinx-owned team led by local architecture firm JGMA who will not only be working on the design, but will be moving into the restored Pioneer Bank upon completion.

The Chicago City Council has approved the rezoning for a mixed-use development at 747 W 79th Street in Auburn Gresham. Located on the southeast corner with S Halsted Street, the new project replaces a vacant lot in an active retail corridor surrounded by various food shops and local businesses. As a part of the city’s popular Invest South/West initiative, developer Evergreen Imagine LLC is working with Ross Barney and Nia Architects on the design.
Updated details have been revealed for Invest South/West winner Galleria 89 at 8840-8854 S Commercial Avenue in South Chicago. Located on the northwest corner with E 89th Street, the new project will replace a one-story commercial building with a new structure along with rehabbing an adjacent existing building. Led by developer 548 Capital and designed by the Rivetna Architects and Farr Associates, the concept was presented to the Committee on Design earlier this week.
