A construction permit has been issued for the first phase of The Ave, an INVEST South/West development located at 3601 West Chicago Avenue in Humboldt Park. The permit, using the address 3607 West Chicago Avenue, came through on March 13, with an application date of September 4, 2024. It names Leopardo Construction as the general contractor, and an estimated cost of $20 million; the entire project is expected to cost about $45 million.
An official ribbon cutting was held yesterday for the completed first phase of Encuentro Square in Logan Square. Made up of two buildings at 3759 W Cortland Street and 1844 N Ridgeway Avenue, the project sits at the western end of the 606 Trail and at the nexus of Logan Square, Hermosa, and Humboldt Park.
There are a lot more bricks on the façade of 4715 North Western Avenue than when we last stopped by in July. In fact, there appears to be only a small section on the southwest corner of the building that remains to be done. Located at the corner of Western and Leland Avenues in Lincoln Square, time is of the essence for the building, as developer The Community Builders expects to have residents begin moving in before 2025 begins.
Brickwork is the featured attraction as construction continues on affordable residences at 4715 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. General contractors Leopardo Construction and KMW Communities have added masonry to most of the Western Avenue-facing façade, with work now shifting to the south-facing wall along Leland Avenue.
Construction progress continues on the two buildings that make up the first phase of the Encuentro Square development in Logan Square. The six-story and four-story structures are both topped out and windows are in place, with façade work partially completed on the exteriors.
