Four Three-Flats Permitted On South Western Avenue In Tri-Taylor

Four permits have been issued to construct three-unit residences on the 1100 block of South Western Avenue in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood on the city’s Near West Side. The four identical permits, assigned to 1106, 1108, 1110, and 1114 South Western, were all applied for on August 8 of this year, and they all came through on December 2 with reported costs of $661,950 each.

Plans have been revealed for a new residential development at 2411 West Congress Parkway in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood. Located near the intersection with South Western Avenue and across the street from the Eisenhower Expressway, the project would replace a former rectory building previously owned by the Catholic Bishop of Chicago and used for youth outreach.

Construction Progresses On Twin Flournoy Street Residential Buildings In Tri-Taylor

A pair of low-rise residential buildings are progressing at 2351 and 2355 West Flournoy Street in the Near West Side’s Tri-Taylor neighborhood. Though they were permitted separately, the two buildings have identical specifications as four-story plus basement structures with eight dwelling units apiece. 2351 West Flournoy was permitted first, on January 13th, with 2355 West Flournoy following nine weeks later on March 19. Both applications were filed back in 2022.
