Demolition permits were issued at the end of last week for the removal of a two-story multi-unit building located at 820 S Karlov Avenue in the West Garfield Park neighborhood. Leeway Wrecking Inc will be acting as the demolition contractor on this project. The property has been vacant for a prolonged period. At the time of this writing, no additional permits have been ordered at this property site.
The property site is well situated for transportation with the nearest bus service for Route 53 at the Pulaski & Polk stop, via a four-minute walk east of the existing structure. For access to the CTA L, Blue Line service is available at the Pulaski station via an eight-minute walk north. There are a number of restaurants and retail options along S Pulaski Road.
