The development was purchased for $2.55 million in 2018, according to a listing by Redfin. In that same year, an ordinance was passed by the Committee on Zoning, Landmarks, and Building Standards to allow for the conversion of the parcel from a designation of C1-3 to C1-2 Neighborhood Commercial District.
Nearest bus transit includes stops for Routes 49, X49, and 65 at the adjacent intersection of Grand & Western. The closest CTA L transit meanwhile can be found at the Green Line at California station via a 19-minute walk southwest. Additional Green Line access will be available a 19-minute walk southeast to the future Damen & Lake station, expected to wrap up in 2023.
