Located just south of the intersection with W Roscoe Street near the Paulina Brown Line station, the project will replace four existing buildings including the former home of beloved Dinkel’s Bakery. Now developer PCR Group has submitted a rezoning application for the Jonathan Splitt Architects designed structure.

Initial details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 4454 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. Located on the southwest corner with W Sunnyside Avenue and directly across the street from Welles Park, the project would demolish and replace a vacant one-story commercial building with a multi-colored brick facade. The proposal comes to us from developer Gerard Coyle who is working with local architecture-firm 360 Design Studio.

Further details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 375 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. Located on the southeast corner with W Kinzie Street and directly behind the upcoming Guinness Open Gate Brewery, the proposed tower will be replacing a vacant lot along the existing train tracks in the growing neighborhood. Plans for the building are being led by developer LP Holdings 375 LLC with local firm Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture working on its design.

City Announces First Phase Of 606 Trail Extension

The City of Chicago has announced its plans to proceed with the extension of the 606 trail in Bucktown. The extension will only be a portion of the greater planned expansion that will take the trail into the Lincoln Yards megadevelopment, near which we saw another two residential buildings proposed earlier this week. The Chicago Department of Transportation is leading the work with an unannounced design team already working on plans.

Congress Theater Renovation at 2135 N Milwaukee Avenue Clears Next Financing Hurdle

Financing has cleared another hurdle for the Congress Theater redevelopment at 2135 N Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square. Located on the intersection with N Rockwell Street, we last covered the project earlier this year when initial news on the TIF money being requested for the project were announced. Now developer Baum Revision, who is working with Woodhouse Tinucci Architects, has cleared an approval from the Finance Committee with requirements in order to receive the money.
