Their team is involved in multiple projects across the South Side, targeting $180 million in commitments for developments in Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Detroit, parts of Arizona and Nevada, and other emerging economies.
The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 1016 W Lake Street in Fulton Market. Replacing a surface parking lot on the corner with N Carpenter Street, plans for the hotel were revealed last year and are now moving forward quickly. The project is being led by New York-based Cogswell Realty and Erol Stapleton with M Moser Associates working on its design.
The Chicago Department of Planning and Development and Mayor Brandon Johnson have announced winners of multiple grants for projects across the city. The first pool consists of $25 million in grants for commercial projects, a second pool of $5 million is to be distributed for climate-transit related projects, and $8 million in Adopt-A-Landmark grants.
Initial details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 1624 N Damen Avenue in Wicker Park. Located just north of the six-corner intersection with W North Avenue and N Milwaukee Avenue, the project will replace a long-term vacant lot. The project is being led by Mavrek Development and Canvas Real Estate.
A revised design has been revealed for the mixed-use development at 331 S Plymouth Court in The Loop. Located across the street from the Harold Washington Library and north of the intersection with W Van Buren Street, the project will replace part of Pritzker Park. The project is being led by The Community Builders with Studio Gang, DesignBridge, and JAQ working on its design.
