Work continues on the plaza surrounding The Bean at 201 E Randolph Street within Millennium Park. The famed sculpture located at the heart of the popular park has reigned as one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city for years. The work is being carried out by the city along with the Chicago Park District.
Updated details have been revealed for the new DePaul University Sports Facility at 2300 N Sheffield Avenue in Lincoln Park. Sitting just north of the intersection with W Belden Avenue, the new building will replace a handful of older residential structures. The project is being led by the university itself with Antunovich Associates and HNTB.
The Chicago Park District has approved funding for three major capital improvement projects across the city. Announced earlier this week, the approval came from their Board of Commissioners for work at Rainbow Beach, Ronan Park, and Cragin Park. This builds upon various previously announced projects including a new field house in Jackie Robinson Park.
Details have been revealed for the residential conversion of the office building at 739 S Clark Street in Printer’s Row. Located just north of the intersection with W Polk Street, the conversion is for the office portion of the Imprint mixed-use development. The project is being led by CMK Companies who is working on 1630 S Wabash Avenue nearby.
Construction appears to have halted at 1630 S Wabash Avenue in the South Loop.
