The Museum of Ice Cream has announced it will open its fourth permanent location inside the re-developed Tribune Tower at 435 N Michigan Avenue on the Magnificent Mile. Plans Revealed For New Community Manufacturing HQ In Chicago Lawn

Apparel manufacturer Blue Tin Production and architects Studio Gang have revealed plans for a community-centered manufacturing facility at 3081 W 63rd Street in Chicago Lawn. The new headquarters for the growing company will utilize a recently purchased existing factory building built in 1920 on the corner of W 63rd Street and S Albany Avenue. The two-story brick clad building most recently held a small food mart that closed in 2020 and will undergo an interior reconstruction prior to opening.

City Awards Construction Contract For New Green Line Station in Near West Side

The City of Chicago has awarded the construction contract for the new CTA Green Line Damen station at 2001 W Lake Street in the Near West Side. The stop has been long discussed for the growing west side area, and to serve major events at the nearby United Center which will allow for less vehicle bottlenecks on the surrounding city streets. The contract has been awarded to local construction company F.H. Paschen who has extensive experience with projects across Chicago airports, parks, schools, and transportation.

Fern Hill Announces Plans For Multi-Site Redevelopment In Old Town

Developer Fern Hill has announced plans to redevelop various plots of land with existing buildings in Old Town. The massive project will utilize six parcels owned by both Fern Hill and Moody Church north of W North Avenue and bound by N Clark Street, N LaSalle Drive, and N Wells Street. While no details on what the designs or scale of the work have been revealed, it has been announced that the developer has chosen renowned architect David Adjaye to execute the design of the various future buildings.

Rezoning Filed For Mixed-Use Development At 2841 W Belmont Avenue In Avondale

Developer Wilmot Construction, Inc has filed a zoning change application with the Committee on Zoning for a mixed-use development at 2841 W Belmont Avenue in Avondale. Wilmot is teaming up with Hanna Architects to bring the new five-story building to the ever-growing neighborhood. Bound by W Belmont Avenue to the north and an existing one-story auto repair shop to the west, its eastern neighbor would be a new five-story residential development called The Avondale also being developed by Wilmot.
