Details have been revealed for the residential development at 3819 N Kedzie Avenue in Irving Park. Located mid-block between W Byron Street and W Grace Street, the proposal will replace a pair of one-story commercial buildings. Efforts for the project are being led by Base 3 Development.
Partial funding has been awarded for the Sunshine Community Center at 6020 S King Drive in Washington Park. Originally revealed in 2023 and approved by the city late last year, the center will replace a vacant lot on the southwest corner of Washington Park. The project is being led by Sunshine Gospel Ministries, which will be relocating from their current location nearby.
Updated details have been revealed for the now approved Old Town Canvas at 1610 N LaSalle Drive in Old Town. Located on the intersection with W North Avenue, the proposed tower has been a major point of contention with the local community and Alderman Brian Hopkins. This all came to a head earlier this month when Hopkins denied the original proposal.
Details have been revealed for the residential development of the large vacant site at 2235 W Oakdale Avenue just south of Roscoe Village. Bound by the Chicago River on the south end of the site, the proposed townhomes are being developed by ZSD Corp with local firm SGW Architecture & Design working on the masterplan.
Permits have been issued for the redevelopment of the mixed-use structure at 1934 W North Avenue in Wicker Park. Sitting on the corner with N Winchester Avenue near the heart of the neighborhood, we originally covered the project last year as it was approved by the Plan Commission.
