Initial details have been revealed for a potential off-shore wind farm near 3600 E 95th Street in the East Side community area. Located near the Illinois International Port District close to the state line with Indiana, the new proposal seeks to create the first facility of its kind on the Great Lakes ahead of other states vying for the opportunity. The plans were introduced by State Representatives Marcus Evans Jr. and Robert Peters at a neighborhood meeting this past week in hopes of getting locals on board.

New details have been revealed for the groundbreaking of the mixed-use development at 1245 W Fulton Market Street in the West Loop. Located on the intersection with N Elizabeth Street, the new structure replaces a group of empty lots and snakes around an existing art gallery that will remain. West Loop stalwarts Sterling Bay have teamed up with Colorado-based Ascentris, the same team as 160 N Morgan Street, to co-develop the property being designed by local firm Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture.

Initial details have been revealed for the residential conversion of the Our Lady Lourdes Convent at 4637 N Ashland Avenue in Uptown. Located just north of the intersection with W Wilson Avenue and across the street from the namesake church, the plan will bring new life to the vacant structure similar to other conversions seen for old congregation buildings across the city. Its new owner has tapped local architects Pappageorge Haymes on the design of the new interiors and exterior repairs.
