Rezoning Application Submitted For 330 N Clark Street In River North

A new zoning application has been submitted for the mixed-use development at 330 N Clark Street in River North. Located almost on Chicago river, the new building would rise in the small parking lot at the northeast corner of the existing Reid Murdoch Center. Although it was originally proposed in 2016, the project has received a handful of changes over the years as it has worked towards getting off of the ground. Now developer Friedman Properties is proposing another change to the HKS Architects-designed structure.

Committee On Design Reviews ‘The Ave’ In Humboldt Park

The Chicago Committee on Design has reviewed updated plans for the Invest South/West winning proposal at 3601 W Chicago Avenue in Humboldt Park. Dubbed ‘The Ave’, the project is located on the southwest corner with Central Park Avenue and is part of a larger multi-phase proposal to revitalize various vacant lots across the changing neighborhood. Developer KMW Communities is working with local design firms Gensler, Nia, and Site Design Group on the affordable housing proposal.

Updated Renderings And Opening Revealed For Guinness Brewpub In Fulton Market

Updated renderings and details have been revealed for the upcoming Guinness Open Gate Brewery Chicago at 375 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. Located within the former Pennsylvania Railroad Terminal building and behind the recently topped out 360 N Green Street, the one-story structure will become the company’s second US location behind their first in Baltimore. Facing a couple of hurdles during construction, we now know that Chicago-based firms Studio K and Whitney Architects are behind the new interior design.

Updated Details Revealed For McKinley Park RFP

Further details and renderings have been revealed for the finalist of the Central Manufacturing District RFP. Located at 1769 W Pershing Road in McKinley Park just west of the intersection with S Ashland Avenue, we last covered the project in January as the city narrowed it down to three finalists with mixed-use proposals featuring everything from housing to movie studios on the multi-site lot. The Chicago Department of Planning and Development is leading the selection process with the bids being presented earlier this week at a community meeting.
