The Chicago Committee on Design has reviewed a proposed mixed-use development at 3201 W 31st Street in Little Village. Envisioned as a campus, the now 30-acre development aims to bring life to a partially occupied lot enclosed by W 31st Street to the north, S Kedzie Avenue to the east, and the future Cinespace Campus 2 to the west. Developer Chicago Southwest Development Corporation (CSDC) has teamed up with HDR Architecture to design the massive southwest side complex.

Located on an empty lot squeezed between two assisted living facilities and the running track of Resurrection College Prep High School, developer Lexington Homes, LLC has partnered up with Pappageorge Haymes to bring 50 single-family homes to the 7.5-acre site.

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a restoration of the North Pond Nature Sanctuary in Lincoln Park. Located between N Cannon Drive and N Stockton Drive, the project looks to preserve the existing north pond which was built in the mid-1880’s. Notable sites on the North Pond include the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and Michelin-starred North Pond Restaurant.
