The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the partial redevelopment of the high-rise at 446 E Ontario Street in Streeterville. Located just west of N Jean Baptiste Du Sable Lake Shore Drive and Ohio Street Beach, the current tower known as the Onterie Center serves as an office and residential tower near the Northwestern downtown campus with views of the lake. Now with the current changes in demand, developer 441 Erie LLC is working with an undisclosed architect to convert a group of floors into a new extended stay hotel.

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 1234 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market. Located along the busy corridor just east of the intersection with N Elizabeth Street, the upcoming high-rise has gone through various changes to its podium after presenting in front of the Committee on Design late last year. Now developers Azur Holdings and Golub & Company are moving forward with the latest iteration of the SCB-designed project, which was originally pitched as a hotel replacing the two small commercial structures on site.

Updated Plans Revealed For Affordable Housing Development In Grand Boulevard

Updated details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 4500-4556 S State Street in Grand Boulevard. Located between W 45th Street and W 46th Street, the multi-phase project will replace a vacant lot just north of the Colman School CPS offices and on the former site of the Robert Taylor Homes. Being developed by the Chicago Department of Housing (DOH) itself, the proposal has gone through a handful of revisions prior to their zoning application for the Brook Architecture-designed buildings.

New plans have been announced for the mixed-use development at 800 W Lake Street in Fulton Market. Located on the corner with N Halsted Street, the proposed high-rise will replace a now vacant lot that previously held a strip of small commercial buildings including a corner bar. Now after a few years of delay and a sell off, a new team made up of Ascend Real Estate and Intercontinental Real Estate Group has returned with an updated program for the GREC Architects-designed tower according to their recent zoning application.
