Construction permits have been issued for a four-story residential building located at 4853 N Christiana Avenue in Albany Park. Guide One LLC is the listed owner, who plans four total units, a rear open staircase, and four parking spaces. The property was formerly a two-floor frame residential building, which received a demolition permits last September.
Foundation work has begun for Inspire West Town, an eight-story mixed-use building located at 1140 W Erie Street near the southeast corner of West Town. Developer Bond Companies plans a combination of ground-level retail and 113 apartment units. As part of the Affordable Requirements Ordinance, the project will yield 23 affordable housing units, six of which will be part of the 113 on-site residences and the remaining 17 elsewhere in the neighborhood.
Construction permits have been issued for a three-story residential building at 1911 S Homan Avenue in North Lawndale. Oscar Tovar is the filing owner, whose plans include two total units, a rear open porch, and a two-car detached garage. The new structure will replace a currently vacant lot, which was previously occupied by a two-story residence damaged in a fire several years ago.
Caisson work is now underway for 354 N Union Avenue, a 32-story residential tower planned for Fulton River District. Developed by Onni Group, the tower will replace a previously vacant lot bound by K2 apartments to the north, a Jewel-Osco parking lot to the east, the Union Pacific tracks to the south, and N Halsted Street to the west.
