Landmarks Commission Approves Demo for 4601 N Broadway Street in Uptown

The Commission on Chicago Landmarks has granted approval for the demolition of the existing buildings located at 4601-11 N Broadway and 4613-17 N Broadway, paving the way for a new development at 4601 N Broadway. Located on a corner site at the intersection of N Broadway and W Wilson Avenue, the project is a transit-oriented development sitting across the street from the newly renovated Wilson CTA L station, serviced by the Red Line.

Permits Issued for 2622 N Racine Avenue in Wrightwood Neighbors

Permits were recently issued for 2622 N Racine Avenue, a three-story residential building in Wrightwood Neighbors. The development by Eirpol LLC will replace a two-story single family residence.

Foundation Underway at 1404 W Monroe Street in West Loop

Foundation work is progressing at 1400 Monroe, located at 1400 W Monroe Street in the West Loop neighborhood. Photos of the site from this week show concrete pouring for the partially-completed foundation, as well as additional on-site equipment. JK Equities is developing the seven-story residential development with 42 condominium units.

Chicago Plan Commission Approves Development at 1140 W Erie Street in West Town

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the development of a new mixed-use building at 1140 W Erie Street in West Town. The eight-story tower will rise 108 feet tall. Located at 1140 W Erie Street, the structure will sit on a triangular site bound by N Ogden Avenue to the northwest, W Erie Street to the south, and N May Street to the northeast. A transit-oriented property is a six-minute walk to the Chicago CTA L station, serviced by the Blue Line. The site is also in close proximity to multiple CTA bus routes. Bond Companies is the developer in charge of the project.

3200 S Shields Avenue (and 3201 S Stewart Avenue)

Permits Issued for Six Townhomes at 3200 S Shields Avenue in Armour Square

Construction permits were recently issued for six adjacent townhomes at 3200 S Shields Avenue in Armour Square. Located just east of the Amtrak line, the residential development will replace a two-story industrial building that partially occupied the site prior to 2019.

Construction Rapidly Progresses at 300 W Division Street in Old Town

While there are houses dividing the two sites, it is not clear if the developer plans to merge them into a single project or keep the sites separate but with similar designs.
