Developer Henry Street Partners, LLC has applied for a redevelopment permit of the Cenacle Retreat and Conference Center at 513 W Fullerton Avenue in Lincoln Park. The application came to the Commission on Chicago Landmarks as the existing complex stands inside of the Mid-North Landmark District, which was created in 1974 to protect the various 19th century buildings in the area.
A permit was approved late last week for a new three-story residential building to be located at 3651 N Damen Avenue in North Center. The owner is listed under the name 3651 Damen LLC, with plans for three total units and a three-car garage. The building will be replacing a two-story brick residence.
A rezoning application has been submitted for a new residential redevelopment of an existing factory building at 2548 S Federal Street in Douglas. Developer JDC Group Inc. is working with Red Architects to turn the old Rapid Roller Company factory building into apartments in the growing neighborhood. Bound by S Federal Street to the east, W 26th Street to the south, and Metra tracks to the east, the 17,500-square-foot lot is surrounded by the I-90 and the Stevenson Expressway.
This week, a construction permit received approval for a new six-unit residential building located at 4040 S Indiana Avenue in Bronzeville. The property is currently occupied by a vacant lot, residing just north of the intersection of Indiana & 41st Street. The filing is listed under the owner Immobilaire Western LLC, and did not indicate the planned number of floors.
