Updated Plans Revealed For Mixed-Use Development At 4640 N Western Avenue In Lincoln Square

Updated plans have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 4640 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. The nearly block-long site is bound by W Eastwood Avenue to the south and the CTA Brown Line tracks to the north, with the new proposal replacing four existing structures and a previously approved plan from 2021. Now the current owner and developer under the name 4640 Western LLC is working with local firm Hirsch MPG on the new design with increased density.

Permit Issued for 1363 W Hubbard Street in West Loop

A new permit has been issued for a four-story residential building to be located at 1363 W Hubbard Street in West Loop. Replacing a three-story frame residence, the project is being built by owner Maurice Connolly, whose plans include three total residential units.

Permit Issued for 4102 N Sheridan Road in Buena Park

A new four-story residential development is underway at 4102 N Sheridan Road in Buena Park, replacing a one-story strip mall building and surface parking lot. The project is being developed by Barrett Homes, whose plans include 32 total residences.

Completion Date Announced For Westhaven Park IID In Near West Side

A completion date has been announced for the upcoming mixed-use development at 1959 W Lake Street in the Near West Side. Located on the intersection with N Damen and directly across the street from the new Damen Green Line station, the project will be one of the final phases of the greater Westhaven Park development near the United Center. The team of Brinshore Development and The Michaels Organization is working with local architecture firm Landon Bone Baker (LBBA) on the design.

Initial Details Revealed For Mixed-Use Development At 4735 N Western Avenue In Lincoln Square

Initial details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 4735 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. Located just south of the intersection with W Lawrence Avenue and a few steps north of the CTA Brown Line Western station, the new proposal will redevelop the existing two-story structure that caught fire a few years ago. Now developer Rany Management is working with local firm Kennedy Mann Architects on the new concept.

Groundbreaking Held For United Yards In Back of the Yards

A groundbreaking has been held for the United Yards development along 47th Street in Back of the Yards. With its center located on the intersection with S Ashland Avenue the multi-building proposal won its Invest South/West bid back in 2021, now construction has been split into phases with the first two underway. Developers Celadon Partners and Blackwood Group worked with local architecture firm DesignBridge on the adaptive reuse and new construction proposal.

Zoning Fully Approved For Mixed-Use Buildings In Logan Square

Final zoning approval was granted for the mixed-use development at 2354 and 2355 N Washtenaw Avenue in Logan Square. The pair of buildings will be located on the southern corners of the intersection with W Fullerton Avenue across the street from Haas Park, replacing a one-story bank and a parking lot with much needed density in the growing neighborhood. The project comes to us from Hibernian Development who worked with local firm 360 Design Studio on the nearly twin structures.

Updated Details Approved For Residential Development At 330 W Chestnut Street In Near North Side

Updated details have been approved for the residential development at 330 W Chestnut Street in the Near North Side. Located on the intersection with N Orleans Street near the upcoming North Union megadevelopment, the project replaces a vacant lot which has served as a parking lot in recent years. Now developers Draper & Kramer and BlitzLake Partners have returned to the Plan Commission after receiving approval last fall, as they are amending the plans designed by FitzGerald Associates.

Facade Nears Completion for Affordable Senior Housing at 833 W Wilson Avenue in Uptown

Construction is wrapping up for a new affordable residential development for seniors at 833 W Wilson Avenue in Uptown. Brinshore Development LLC has joined forces with Landon Bone Baker Architect, a firm renowned for their affordable housing designs, to bring this project to life. The building will be situated on a vacant lot to the west of the intersection with N Clarendon Avenue, close to the recently approved Sarah’s on Lakeview.

Permits Issued for Three-Unit Residential Building at 6517 S Drexel Avenue in Woodlawn

Construction permits have been issued for a new residential development at 6517 S Drexel Avenue in Woodlawn. The project involves the construction of a three-story, three-unit masonry building with open rear steel decks and an egress stair at the second and third floors. The development will be situated in the Woodlawn neighborhood and is owned by BKRS Development LLC. Previously, a vacant lot occupied the site.
