Structural work has reached the fourth floor for 949 W Dakin Street, a seven-story mixed-use project planned by Draper & Kramer and located in Lake View. Programming will consist of 13,000 square feet of commercial space at ground level, divided into 1,300- and 2,200-square-foot units. The six upper floors will house a total of 120 apartments, 108 of which will be single bedrooms and the remaining 12 as two-bedrooms.

Located on the site of an existing one-story industrial building, the project is on a corner lot at the intersection of N Ravenswood Avenue and W Berenice Avenue. Landrosh Development is the developer behind the proposal.

Demolition is nearing completion for a planned nine-story mixed-use building located at 4601 N Broadway in Uptown. John Buck Company and Free Market Ventures are co-planning the project, which will include 12,000 square feet of ground-level retail, 200 apartments, and resident amenity spaces including a rooftop deck.
