A construction permit is now approved for a residential project at 6502 S Maryland Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood. The development will consist of a three-story, three-unit residential masonry building, replacing a previously vacant space. Jack Properties LLC owns the project.
The building’s design, provided by architect Charles E Schwartz, includes open rear steel decks, an egress stair, a concrete patio, and a three-vehicle concrete parking pad, according to the submitted plan. Further details about the building’s interior or additional architectural elements have yet to be made available.
For public transit accessibility, the site is a seven-minute walk from the Green Line at Cottage Grove station, while Route 4 is just one block west of the property at Cottage Grove & 65th Street.
Crown Construction Company is the general contractor for the project, which has a reported cost of $350,000. At this time, there is no known completion date for the project.
