Initial permits have been issued for the residential development at 2128 S Tan Court in Chinatown. Replacing a long-time vacant lot along the elevated tracks of the CTA Orange Line, the project will be called ‘Evergreen Garden’. The multi-phase proposal is being led by developer Tan Court Development LLC, with Chicago-based architecture firm FitzGerald Associates working on the design.

Centered around the intersection between W Carroll Avenue and N May Street, the multi-building campus includes recently built structures and a few new announcements. The project is being led by developer Trammell Crow Company with various architects working on each tower.

Located on the southwest corner with N California Avenue, the new building will replace a handful of buildings directly across the street from Horner Park. Contemporary Concepts has submitted a zoning application for a proposed residential development at 1055 W Diversey. The project site, currently housing a church. The new development, designed by Studio Dwell Architects, is planned to be a five-story building with 24 residential units, standing 58 feet tall. The exterior will feature a brick cladding with metal accent panels and limestone on the ground floor windows.
