Two residences replacing vacant lot at 1024 West 19th Street in Pilsen

A two-unit residential building is in the midst of construction at 1024 West 19th Street in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood in the Lower West Side Community Area. The City of Chicago issued a construction permit for the site on February 14 of this year. It is replacing an empty lot bordered on two sides by alleyways. Real estate records show the lot last sold in June 2023 for $185,000; estimated cost for the new construction is $436,000.

Construction is underway for 3605 North Ravenswood in North Center

Construction has begun for the 52-unit 3605 North Ravenswood residential development in North Center. Located on the northeast corner of the intersection connecting Addison Street, Ravenswood Avenue, and Lincoln Avenue, the six-story building is being developed by Macon Construction (also the general contractor) and Stocking Urban. Designs by Hirsch MPG call for the sixth floor to serve as an amenity deck, with the ground floor holding two commercial spaces. There will be 12 off-street parking spaces on the alley off Ravenswood.

Progress update on a trio of residential projects on Richmond Street in Irving Park

Three residential buildings in the 4300-block of North Richmond Street in Irving Park continue through varied stages of construction. Located at 4337, 4343, and 4347 North Richmond, all three are being developed and built by Vivi Development based on designs by Compass Architecture. These will all be three stories with a basement, containing six condominiums each. They are being developed on the site vacated when fire destroyed the Twisted Hippo Brewing building.
