Two SFRs Permitted, Two Pending, On Former Greenhouse Site In Garfield Ridge

A pair of single-family residences were permitted for construction by the City of Chicago to replace a commercial greenhouse site slated for demolition in April. Developer and general contractor A & SL Construction of Palos Hills applied for permits on July 2, and they came through for 5326 and 5328 South Mason Avenue in Garfield Ridge on August 13, each with a reported cost of $300,000.

Eight Units Permitted At 67th And Greenwood In Woodlawn

A permit was issued by the city on the final day of July to build an eight-unit residential building at 6659 South Greenwood Avenue in Woodlawn. The permit had been pending since its application in December 2023, eventually coming through 19 months later with a reported cost of $490,000. The new development replaces a vacant lot on the northeast corner of Greenwood and 67th Street.
