A demolition permit was issued by the city to demolish a one-story commercial building and greenhouses at 5338 South Mason Avenue in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood near Midway Airport. According to the permit, which was issued on April 4, All Concrete Contractors of Bridgeview is named as the demo contractor, at a reported cost of $10,000.
Additional funding has been announced for the residential phase of the LeClaire Courts redevelopment at 4458 S Cicero Avenue in Garfield Ridge. The multi-phase proposal is being led by developers The Habitat Company and Cabrera Capital Partners, with SCB working on its design.

The Chicago Housing Authority has advanced the first phase of the LeClaire Courts redevelopment at 4458 S Cicero Avenue in Garfield Ridge. Located on the intersection with W 45th Street, the new project replaces the massive vacant lot once home to a public housing project. Developed by The Habitat Company and Cabrera Capital Partners, the SCB-designed complex will sit next to the new Cultivate Collective community hub.
