Located along N Austin Avenue, the project site is located between W Montrose Avenue and W Sunnyside Avenue. It is bounded by N Austin Avenue to the east, by a public alley to the south and west, and by an adjacent property to the north. The nearest public transportation is the 78 and 91 CTA bus routes, accessed at the Austin and Montrose stop, within a two-minute walk from the site. 4416-20 North Austin LLC is in charge of the development.

Chicago Plan Commission Approves Mixed-Use Development at 1623 N Halsted Street in Old Town

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a seven-story mixed-use development at 1623 N Halsted Street in Old Town. Located along N Halsted Street, between W Concord Place and W Willow Street, the site is an interior lot directly adjacent to the CTA Brown Line tracks. The North/Clybourn CTA L station, serviced by the Red Line, can be reached within a two-minute walk. The 8, 9, and 72 CTA bus routes can be accessed at the corner of W North Avenue and N Halsted Street, also within a two-minute walk from the site. JDL Development and Logan Ventures are in charge of the development.

Exterior Wall Underway at Peoria Green in West Loop

Work on the exterior wall has climbed the western face of the Peoria Green development, a six-story condominium project at 123 S Peoria Street in West Loop. Planned by ZSD Corporation, the building squeezes within an irregularly shaped lot, requiring it to split into adjacent east and west wings. ZSD Corporation plans for 17 units spread across its 70,000 square feet, ranging from four- to five-bedrooms. Prices range between $1.8 million and $3 million, according to the development website which also lists units are 90 percent sold. In January Crain’s reported that given the unexpected demand in sales, the developers altered the original programming to include more higher-priced units.
