Initial details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 1624 N Damen Avenue in Wicker Park. Located just north of the six-corner intersection with W North Avenue and N Milwaukee Avenue, the project will replace a long-term vacant lot. The project is being led by Mavrek Development and Canvas Real Estate.
Zoning has been approved for the mixed-use development at 1870 N Milwaukee Avenue in Bucktown. Located north of the intersection with N Oakley Avenue on the southern edge of the neighborhood, the approval was granted by the Zoning Board of Approvals last week. The project is being led by Peerless Development and designed by local firm SPACE Architects + Planners.
Foundation work has commenced on a new five-story residential building at 438 W St. James Place in Lincoln Park. Developed by St. James Interest LLC, the project will house four condominium units, each with four bedrooms. Originally planned as a 10-story structure, the design was scaled back in response to community feedback and the limitations posed by the 33-foot-wide site.

Located on the southeast corner with W Polk Street, the new structure would replace an existing surface parking lot near the Illinois Medical District. The proposal is being led by 4Corners LLC and designed by local architecture firm Kennedy Mann.
