A zoning application has been submitted for the residential development at 3710 N Ashland Avenue in Lake View. Located near the intersection of W Waveland Avenue, the proposal replaces a three-story structure which was fully demolished earlier this year. The application was submitted by developer CorEtt Builders Corp.
Construction is underway on a new residential development on the southwest corner of Washtenaw Avenue and Fullerton Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood. 2354 North Washtenaw Avenue will be a five-story, 20 unit building from developer and general contractor Wilmot Construction. They got a permit to replace a surface parking lot on July 2 of this year, which also lists Hanna Architects as building designers.
Details have been revealed for the residential redevelopment at 3759 N Western Avenue in North Center. Located on the intersection with W Grace Street, the project would redevelop an existing three-story structure and replace an adjacent one-story building. Efforts for the development are being led by 4Corners LLC.
A demolition permit is imminent for the former United Christian Church at 1055 West Diversey Parkway in Lincoln Park, as a new construction permit has been issued for the property. On September 4, the City of Chicago issued a permit allowing Contemporary Concepts to build their planned five-story, 24-unit residential development on the site. Crews were out the following day prepping the church for demolition.
Foundation work has begun at 224 South Ashland Avenue on the Near West Side. Here, 4Corners Real Estate is developing a five-story, 56-unit apartment building on the site of the former home of Loop Lawyers. That structure, at 220 South Ashland, got a demolition permit on April 14, 2022, with Taylor Excavating performing the demo work. A new construction permit was issued January 6, 2023, which, after a bit of a delay, was reinstated on February 22 of this year.
