A four-story, six-unit apartment building has begun construction at 1624 N Damen Avenue in the Wicker Park neighborhood. A full building permit, issued June 27 of this year, calls for retail space at ground level. Balconies at the front and rear of the building, designed by 360 Design Studio, are also included on the permit. No parking spaces are mentioned.
One month after receiving a permit from the City of Chicago to complete construction, 220 North Ada progress has reached the underside of the fourth level. And on July 8, a permit for Phase 2 was issued for the project’s tower crane. That means once the concrete core has grown a little higher, concrete contractor Adjustable Concrete and GC Clayco will tie the crane into the core and insert a few crane sections into the “tower” segment for sufficient height.
Updated details for the expansion of the residential property at 1239 N Wood Street in Wicker Park. Located on the intersection with W Potomac Avenue just north of Division Street, an expansion to the current property has been in works for many years now. The project is being led by a local LLC with Laszlo Simovic Architects working on its design.
The exterior is mostly finished, and the interior buildout continues, at 3050 N Greenview Avenue in Lake View. Permitted in July of 2023, this brick-clad four-story structure will deliver three residential units to the neighborhood, topped by a roof deck.
At 4102 N Sheridan Road in the Buena Park neighborhood of Uptown, Abode 4102 is nearing completion of its 32 new rental units. With brickwork completed and windows installed, all that remains to be done on the outside is flooring for the rear balconies.
