Exterior Construction Wraps Up for The Reed in South Loop

Facade installation is now wrapping up for The Reed at Southbank, a 41-story residential building located at 234 W Polk Street in South Loop. Developed by Lendlease, the 447-foot tower is part of the larger four-building masterplan known as “Southbank”, which was split off from CMK’s planned Riverline development to the south. The Southbank plans also include an extended Riverwalk and a small urban park at its center.

Plan Commission Approves Updated 455 W Briar Place In Lake View East

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved updated plans for the residential development at 453-455 W Briar Place in Lake View East. Located mid-block between N Sheridan Road to the east and N Broadway to the west, the upcoming proposal will replace a pair of single-family homes from the early 1900s on the quiet one-way road. Developer GVP Development has been working with SGW Architecture on the unique structure which received City Council approval earlier this year.

City Council Approves Mixed-Use Tower At 1234 W Randolph Street In Fulton Market

The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 1234 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market. Located on the intersection with N Elizabeth Street the building replaces a handful of low-slung commercial structures after having originally been proposed as a hotel a few years back. Now after receiving its approval from the Plan Commission and comments from the Committee on Design, developers Azur Holdings, and Golub & Company have cleared some of the last hurdles towards construction for the SCB-designed project.
