Final touches can be seen for the redevelopment of the Edith Spurlock Apartment complex in Lincoln Park. With the recent unveiling of “Sheffield of Lincoln Park,” a new six-story addition providing 80 family units, the complex now contains three total buildings. Sheffield of Lincoln Park sits between two existing buildings at 2640 and 2720 N. Sheffield, both of which were originally built in 1965. The CHA and PIRHL are behind the $150 million redevelopment.

Permits Issued For Lourdes School Redevelopment In Uptown

Permits have been issued for the residential conversion of the Our Lady Lourdes School at 4641 N Ashland Avenue in Uptown. We initially covered plans for this late last year as the project became the second to be proposed at the church, sitting near the intersection with W Leland Avenue. The development is being led by Honore Properties with architecture firm Kennedy Mann working on its design.

Final Exterior Touches Advance for 1000M Tower in South Loop

As pre-leasing continues, final touches are being made to the facade of 1000 S Michigan Avenue in the South Loop. This 74-story residential project, known as 1000M, stands at 805 feet and is located opposite Grant Park. The tower has been developed by Time Equities, JK Equities, and Oak Capital, with architectural design by Jahn/ and interior design by Kara Mann Design. There will be a total of 738 apartments, ranging from studios priced at $2,075 per month to four-bedroom penthouses starting at $14,470 per month.
