The sidewalk canopy on Lincoln Avenue hides much of the progress, but work is still getting done on a residential development at 3037 North Lincoln Avenue in Lake View. Promised Land Development (PLD Homes) is putting up a four-story, 15-unit building here that was permitted for construction on September 17 of last year.

The development replaces a trio of residential buildings that all received demolition permits in 2023 and have since been razed. Some excavation work on the old foundations will be the next order of business before digging out the basement of the new building.

Construction is now crossing the finish line for 120 N Willard Court, aka “120 Willard”, a five-story residential building situated just south of Randolph Street in West Loop. Developed by PLD Custom Homes, this development will replace a pre-Chicago Fire single-family residence, which was demolished in December 2022, and will provide seven housing units and a seven-vehicle parking garage.
