Initial foundation permits have been issued for the development of a new five-story residential building in Edgewater. The new building will be located at 6044 N Winthrop Avenue, replacing a former parking lot on the site. The project is being developed by North Park Ventures.
The building will offer 64 dwelling units, along with 35 indoor parking spaces. Chicago-based firm Kennedy Mann is behind the design, with drawings or renderings having not yet been revealed.
The building will have several modern amenities and features, such as a rooftop deck, a fitness center, and a communal lounge area. The building will also have easy access to nearby bus service comprised Routes 36, 136, 147, and 151, as well as the CTA Red Line, which can be found via Granville or Thorndale station.
Quadrel Construction LLC has been appointed as the general contractor for the project. The cost for this stage of the project is estimated to be $250,000. A completion date is set for 2024.
