A permit has been granted for a new residential building located at 2125 W Crystal Street in Wicker Park. The project will stand three stories and house four dwelling units. The listed owner of the project is 2127-29 W Crystal LLC, who had a similar permit issued for the adjacent 2129 W Crystal last week.
The architect of record is Christopher G. Boehm of 360 Design Studio, with design details indicating a VA frame building with a basement, rear deck on the first floor, and a private roof deck on the third floor. The development will also provide a detached five-vehicle masonry garage with a separate roof deck.
Public transportation includes bus service for Route 70, which can be accessed at the intersections of Division & Leavitt and Division & Hoyne, which are both a two-minute walk away. Additionally, Route 50 service is available at Damen & Division via a five-minute walk to the southeast. Future residents looking to catch CTA L trains will find closest Blue Line service at Damen station, a 12-minute walk to the northeast.
The general contractor for the project is V & M Development, Inc, while the reported construction cost is $1,604,640. An anticipated completion date has not been confirmed.
